What a great spring and summer season we had at the Lavender Barn! A big thank you to all of our visitors, volunteers and interns. We will be closed, Friday, September 30th.

Our Fall Schedule

The Lavender Barn is open on Fridays at the farm, unless posted, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m..
Come out and shop for your favorite teas, chocolates, spices and baked goods on Fridays.

Goods available through Augusta Locally Grown’s online market, throughout the year.

We have numerous off-farm events in October and November.
On October 22-23, we will be a Georgia Grown Featured Farm
at the Summerville Tour of Homes, in Augusta!

We will post offsite events, each week, so that you may participate wherever we are offering White Hills Farm products.

New products are farm-local during the fall season. New teas, oils and spices will be available. Watch for holiday specific products.

September 23rd, Come and Farm Store Tailgate with Us!

We are open this Friday, at the farm store. We have farm-fresh scones for sale, our new Summer Salt and lots of exciting White Hills Farm necessities, available.

    At 10:30, I have our versatile and healthy barbecue rub recipe, ready to demonstrate and share!

Kathleen Fervan will be outdoors this week barbecuing for us (making some sizzling pecan-wood barbecue for our lunch tasting menu).

‘Hosting a little White Hills, farm-style, tailgate lunch, this Friday!

September 16, Arts at the Farm, Cinnamon Rolls with Heart

Every Friday this month, we are honored to have Chef Kathleen
Fervan, trained at Culinary Institute of America and longtime
teacher, creating with us.

Don’t miss these Friday class opportunities. Last week was amazing as we learned to create Bouquet garni, great stock and received fabulous tips for using herbs.

A Little Heart

    This Friday at 10:30 a.m.

We celebrate Arts in the Heart of the CSRA, with a lavender cinnamon roll class. Come out and watch the free demo and then stay and make a little pan of take-home rolls at 11:00 a.m.. Rosemary heart wreath materials will be demonstrated and included in the mini-class. Mini-class cost is $10.

Preorder and enjoy a picnic lunch by calling 706-595-5081 before Thursday at noon. Picnic is $10/person and includes drink, entrée and scones with condiments.

Rosemary, easy to use and easy to grow. But, did you know there are numerous varieties, each particularly suited for specific cooking applications, be it vinegars, herb blends or salts? Come out for our open 10:45 a.m. demonstration and then stay for a mini-class where we will make rosemary wreaths, garni bouquet, and rosemary salt! Class cost is $10/person, includes takeaways.
