Today, at White Hills Farm, we were pleased to host the Georgia Tourism Department and directors of the Classic South Region, in particular! What a great group.

UPCOMING

On Friday, we will have an herb walking tour at 10:45, picnic lunch available by pre-ordering by noon on Thursday (706-595-5081), $8.50 per person. At 1:00 p.m., we will demonstrate wild garlic attributes, how to dry the fantastic bulbil heads and then show you how to make gourmet, wild garlic salt! You may make your own in the mini-class that follows. Mini-class cost is $5.

We will be open in the farm store, only, this Friday. We are taking a break to celebrate 38 years and time with the kids! Miss Laurie will be manning the store on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and will certainly help you with any gift needs you have. Wedding flower pick-up, Friday as well.

NEXT WEEK, June 24, we will be back in full swing with tour at 10:30, preordered picnic pick-up at noon, and afternoon lavender wand-making mini-class, at 1:00.

This Friday, we will have an herb garden walking tour at 10:30 a.m..
A picnic lunch may be ordered by noon on Thursday, by calling 706-595-5081. Enjoy your picnic order right here at the farm.

At 1:00, we will have lavender blend demonstrations in the barn, and then, two optional mini-classes in herb blending. Cost for the hands-on classes is $5 and includes two take-away herb blends. Registration is not required. As always, the demonstration is free. We will use peak season herbs to make two, easy to use blends. Recipes and tastings, included.

Our herb walking tour begins at 10:30 this week. English and intermedia lavenders are abloom!

Preorder a picnic sack lunch by Thursday at noon, for Friday pickup. Call 706-595-5081. Entree salad, scones and jam, and dessert along with a great summer tea blend, $8.50 per person.

Our demonstration is at 1:00 p.m. and features sourdough bread methods presented by Augusta Locally Grown’s, Tara Roberts, who will present her bread making tricks in real-time! We are very excited that Tara will be in the kitchen this week. Make plans to be at this special presentation.
